Other Ways to Donate

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a financial tool to facilitate charitable giving.  It allows individuals 70.5 and older to make tax-free donations directly from certain types of IRAs to qualified charities of your choice.  While a QCD does not offer a tax deduction it should be noted the distribution is not included in your taxable income.  This can be especially beneficial for taxpayers that no longer itemize charitable deductions.
For donors subject to Required Minimum Distributions (currently age 73 and older), a QCD can be used to satisfy all or part of their annual RMDs subject to IRS limits. ** Always consult your tax professional and financial advisor before utilizing a QCD as rules and restrictions apply. Allow 30+ days prior to close of year to initiate.

Donor Advised Funds- If you are already utilizing Donor Advised Funds as part of your estate planning strategy, we hope you will consider including National Newfoundland Rescue along with your other favorite charities. Consult your financial advisor for more details. **
